The “Library of the Frankfurt Polytechnic” is a public institution and serves fundamentally the teaching, study and research of the Polytechnic College Frankfurt am Main and special professional further education. However, the facilities of the College are also open to non-members.
In addition to books and magazines, the College Library also offers language cassettes, videos, discs and CD ROMs. Approximately 245 000 media units belong to the inventory. Corresponding to its function the Library collects literature required for basic and further education in the College faculties, specifically in the fields architecture, engineering and natural sciences, technology, economics, care and social sciences. They can be researched via the online catalogue OPAC.
Integrated in the Library’s programme is the care-historical Hilde Steppe Archive with a documentation point for the field of care that is unique Germany-wide.
