In addition to publishers, the “Exchange Association of the German Book Trade” and numerous institutions of the University, Frankfurt, the birthplace of Goethe, is also proud of several significant organizations in the field of linguistics and cultural studies. For example the Deutsche Filmmuseum is affiliated with the Deutsche Filminstitut (DIF), one of the largest cinema film and film materials libraries in Germany. The German National Library in Frankfurt is the central archive library and national bibliographic centre for Germany.
