The “Literature Forum” was founded in 1985 as the “Hessen Literature Office” and has been headquarted at Künstlerhaus Mousonturm since 1989. Its members and officials are Frankfurt writers. The programme covers readings and discussions, writing seminars and workshops. For more than 20 years the Forum also publishes the quarterly journal “L- Der Literaturbote” as podium for contemporary German literature and young emerging writers. The opportunity is available for young writers to participate with their texts in “Junge Literaturforum Hessen-Thüringen” Moreover, since the beginning of the year the function spectrum has been considerably extended: the “Hessen Reading Promotion” is now an integral component of the Forum since January 2009.
